Our Client is a fast-growing tech company founded 10 years ago, located in Amsterdam, that develops innovative smart learning platforms for the education market world-wide.
Their team works on the best and most innovative product, based on AI, machine learning and scientific insights.
Ideally the person that joins the team has a background as a teacher or is currently teaching as well as performing as a full stack.
Around 300.000 users are using their products on a daily basis and they are constantly evolving their products to stay up to date.
They plan to scale their systems to greater use, expand their our products with new gaming software and develop completely new learning environments.
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their development team, where they work according to the Scrum methodology in small teams of 3 – 5 people of different disciplines.
Every sprint lasts two weeks and every working day you will start your Scrum team with a stand-up. For their software development they make use of Jira and Bitbucket/GitHub.
Developing high-quality code for a wide range of parts of our existing and new applications.
Be involved in architecture of our code. Important is that the code should be scalable, reusable and test-able.
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions with the other team members who can be content and technical driven of nature.
Implementation of new functionalities supporting “Serious Gaming”.
Work with a high traffic Web application (300,000 users) with more than two billion records.
Bachelor or Master work and thinking level including several years of relevant work experience
Experience with various languages and tools such as PHP MVC, MySQL, Unit Testing and Git.
Eager to follow and implement the latest developments in web development into our applications.
Good analytical skills combined with social and communicative skills.
Experience with tools and techniques such as Ansible, Vagrant,, PHPUnit, Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins and CI/CD are a Pre.
Ideally you have a teaching background and you combine it with your role as a full stack developer / software developer
